Can I raise money on an app I built with Lovable?

Yes, investors back apps built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor and Replit, but a serious one will have someone read the code before writing a cheque. Know what that review will find before they do: exposed keys, gaps in authentication, open database rules and code nobody else can pick up are the questions a technical review asks.

Evidence

How the app was built matters less to an investor than whether the code can be trusted and whether another developer can carry it on. I build with AI coding agents myself, and WASBuilder shows what makes AI-written code hold up: a record of what each change was meant to do, tests that prove it, and a review before it ships.

  • 665 of 681 WASBuilder tickets shipped, each with its specification, plan, tests and review on record
  • 454 Go test functions in TaskTree, 35 of them driving a real Chrome
  • 149 API routes in TaskTree, each counted by a test so none goes in untested

Security. A key in the browser bundle, a route that skips the sign-in check or a Supabase table any visitor can read is a liability the investor would be buying. A technical review looks for these first, because they are the findings that can sink a company once it has customers.

Who can carry the code on. Investors fund the next eighteen months of building, not the demo. If the code is tangled, repeats itself or breaks whenever a feature is added, the money goes on rework, and a reviewer will say so.

What you can show. A founder who has had the code read, and can show the findings and what was done about them, answers the technical questions before they are asked.

What it takes

Read access to the repository and the database settings, and five business days.

The report is yours. It ranks every finding by how much harm it can do and how much it costs to fix, and you can share it with investors, or with the developer who makes the fixes.

The honest limits: the audit covers security and code only, and it is an outside opinion of the code, not of the business. It does not promise that anyone will invest.

Next step

Have the code read before an investor's reviewer does. The Vibe Code Audit is a fixed-price security and code review for apps built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor and Replit.
