BuyCAN

BuyCAN is a simple AI-powered app that tries to answer the question, “How Canadian is this product?”

The answer is usually complicated and involves looking at things like:

• The product's ingredients and where they are sourced
• The product's manufacturing location
• How many Canadians are involved in the production and distribution
• Where the company is based

BuyCAN uses Google’s new flash-lite model to identify a product’s name and company from an image and then employs its flash-thinking model to perform complex reasoning using the factors mentioned above to not only determine a rating from 1-5, but also explain its reasoning in coming up with one.
